This past May I took a 1 week course with Dave Ramsey entitled the Entreleadership Master Series.
It was a life changing experience.
It’s similar to his financial teachings. Before coming across Total Money Makeover, I read a number of personal finance books. They were all theoretical – establish passive income, create new revenue streams, start your own business, and so on. The problem was that none of them gave actual nuts and bolts of how to manage your money and save. Dave Ramsey’s book did.
When it came to leadership I had the same expectation. For a few years now I have been devouring whatever business, leadership, and marketing books I could get my hands on. Many stood out, many were a waste of time. The Entreleadership course was an insider look at the nuts and bolts of true leadership and how to run a business.
We didn’t just learn what a good leader does, we saw real world examples of how leaders act. We weren’t just told to treat those around us well, we were given real examples of situations on how to treat people well even at the ‘expense’ of the company. We weren’t told to simply appreciate others, but given strategies on how to actually show it.
That’s why I am excited that the book comes out today. Even though I took the course, in person, with the man himself, I still can’t wait to get my hands on the book and go back over the material. This is one of those books that lays the foundation and principles that will allow you to gauge everything else by. It’s the down-to-earth, hard work and integrity manual that we need.
